Rym Hayouni
“No Title” (2020) is a serie of happenings performed by Rym Hayouni, the first happening occured from Marsa to Kram, the second one was in the industrial zone of Rades and the third one took place in the Medina of Tunis.
The artist, using chains and hooks roams the streets in search of post-consumer waste coming from modern and industrial use. Once the object has been encountered, the artist chains it to her feet. Throughout her journey which lasts two to three hours, discarded phones, the remains of a fan or the carcass of an old computer are collected, accumulated and dragged behind her creating a loud sound, that of modern-society waste.
