Studio Roosegaarde is a social design lab, founded by Daan Roosegaarde.
The designers and engineers of Studio Roosegaarde have made it their mission to visualise current problems and to design the world in a way that it continues to offer us a home.
“Schoonheid” which in Dutch means beauty as well as cleanliness, is their guiding principle.

It is remarkable how Studio Roosegaarde reaches a broad range of people through their interactive and performative works, enabling exchange and thus creating awareness for current problems.
By working together to propose sustainable solutions, they succeed in bringing great visions from the future into the present.
Their collaborative projects prove that fields such as science and art can benefit from each other.
Why work separately on one goal when you can support and complement each other?

“SMOG FREE PROJECT is a campaign for clean air led by Daan Roosegaarde to reduce air pollution and provide an inspirational experience of a clean future. The SMOG FREE TOWER provides a local solution of clean air parks in the public spaces of Korea, China, Poland, and the Netherlands.
As a tangible souvenir, Roosegaarde creates SMOG FREE RINGS made from the compressed smog particles collected from the SMOG FREE TOWER. By sharing the SMOG FREE RING you donate a 1000 m3 of clean air to the city.” – Studio Roosegaarde
