I am a visual artist, working with photography and video. My practice center on representations of the self by investigating the different aspects of privacy, censorship, digital stagings, and body performance within the public and private sphere. My work was shown at Museum Rietberg, Zurich (2019) and the Museum of Photography, Braunschweig (2012), and shared in PhotoCairo 6th edition (2017) Cairo, The Marrakech Biennale 6th (2016), and “Autonomy of Self” (2015), at P21 Gallery, London. I had my BA In Applied Arts in 2010 (EG) and was a participant in MASS Alexandria study program in 2016 (EG). My project “Was That Really You?”  was granted Goethe Institute fellowship at Akademie Schloss Solitude in 2018 (DE) and Braunschweig Projects at HBK Hochschule für Bildende Künste Braunschweig in 2019 (DE). I am a member of few collectives, amongst them Cairo Bats, The Pensive Image, and Everyday Egypt, they draw attention to the city through image production.
